It would be an understatement to simply say that this was a banner year for the ENTEK Employee Community Fund’s Coats for Kids drive. Given a worldwide pandemic and local wildfires, 2020 was sure to have an impact on every aspect of the program, and that was certainly the case. With an increase in the number of coats needed, coupled with stock shortages, there were certainly challenges to overcome, but we are fortunate to have a group of employees dedicated to serving their community, and in the end, we managed to pull it off! For the 2020 drive, the total number of coats given out across 3 school districts was 1110, well above 2019’s record of 980 coats.
This time-honored tradition has been a part of the ENTEK DNA since the very beginning, and it’s something we look forward to every year. We would especially like to thank our community liaisons, who work really hard to supply us with the coat requests, as well as Boxmaker, which supplies us with all of our packaging so we can organize and transport the coats back to the schools for distribution.
Thank you to everyone who generously contributed to this year’s drive, whether financially or with your time.
