ENTEK prides itself on supporting its local community in several ways, including helping those less fortunate. Two of our annual drives held last fall helped numerous local families enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday and helped provide coats to help keep children warm in the winter.
Thanksgiving 2016
On the Monday of Thanksgiving week, about 50 employees plus some of their family members volunteered their time to help organize and distribute meals to local families with food purchased by ENTEK and provided by a local grocery store. Because of this effort over 170 families were fed with about 200 boxes that were assembled. Recipients were from 9 different area schools, and ENTEK had a delivery team taking boxes to people without transportation.
Coats for Kids
ENTEK also holds an annual Coats for Kids program. In 2016 the company donated 680 coats.
that were purchased with over $16,000 raised by ENTEK employees. This employee funded program is led by a committee of 12 ENTEK employees and continues a great tradition started 30 years ago at the company.
“Giving back to the community is an important part of who we are at ENTEK,” said Dr. Kirk Hanawalt, ENTEK President. “Our commitment to the local community is and will always be a strong one.”
