ENTEK’s Employee Community Fund donated two new bikes and helmets to Lebanon School District’s CATCH program (Coordinated Approach to Health Care) for its Family Fitness Night at the Lebanon Boys & Girls Club. The event was held on March 12th and for both recipients, these were the first bikes they had owned!
The CATCH program is an evidence-based coordinated school health program designed to promote physical activity and healthy food choices in children. The event encourages families to become educated in the importance of nutrition and physical activity in a fun, upbeat setting.
Grace Rieke, coordinator of the event for the school district, said that the children were ‘beyond excited’ to receive their new bikes. And with all this beautiful weather we’ve been enjoying, they should have plenty of opportunity to make use of them!
