Jakarta, Indonesia, 4 June 2023 –
Overnight our PT ENTEK Separindo Asia (ESA) separator manufacturing plant in Boger, Indonesia experienced a fire. Four employees were sent to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation, but no other injuries were reported. The fire originated in a finished goods warehouse, and the plant was evacuated as firefighters extinguished the fire. Our staff has now been allowed to return to the facility and we are evaluating the extent of the damage.
Our new line 5 expansion is in a different building at another part of the site and was completely protected. The legacy lines 1-4 were also protected from the fire, but we are assessing damage to the building and support systems for those lines to determine when we can safely re-start. The assessment has just begun, and we will have more information to share as it becomes available. We ask for your patience and flexibility as we work to determine the extent of the damage and bring the plant back online.
As part of ENTEK’s global service platform, we have built in redundancy to service customers from our other manufacturing sites in Japan, the UK, and the US. We will provide additional updates shortly.
